4 Sure-Fire Ways to Sell More This Holiday Season

There’s a misperception that service industries don’t (or can’t!) benefit from the holiday buying season.

And while it’s obvious and that online and offline retailers stand to benefit tremendously between Thanksgiving and Christmas…

Does that mean service providers have to sit on the sidelines?

No way.

Admittedly, it may take a bit more planning and creativity on your part for your business to leverage the holidays. That said– here are a few fast and simple ideas that can stuff your organizational stocking with some extra cash this season:

1) Sell Information Products: Your potential clients are willing to lay down cash for a resource that teaches them something they want to know. So create it! This may include an MP3 file and a workbook delivered electronically. A video that teaches them step-by-step how to do X.

Get creative…information products are super easy to pull together, and I bet you have something in your proverbial vault that would sell like gangbusters. My limited-time holiday offer is a whopping 50% off my Empire Blueprint Home Study Program…a steal!

2) Pre-Sell a Program: Whether you’re b2b or b2c, lots of money changes hands in January. New Year’s brings with it your potential client’s commitment to improving their health, relationships, finances, business, etc. Whatever you’re planning in January – put a holiday price on it and put it out to your database. If discounting isn’t your thing, offer some juicy bonuses to close the sale.

3) Partner with a Retailer. If you’re a massage therapist, put up a massage chair in a local store. If you’re a life coach, offer mini-sessions in a salon. If you’re a computer repair guy, I’d say any retailer would love to have you set up shop in their space. (You catch my drift.) Get outside the box with this one, your options are limitless.

4) Offer a 1-Day, Limited Time Sale. Pick 1 day, determine the number of hours your willing to run a sale and go for it. For example, if you’re an ad agency, choose Cyber Monday between 8am and noon. When your customers pre-buy a logo, brochure, branding package, etc. they receive a percentage off.

This year if you’re a service provider, don’t sit on the sidelines. Take control of your outcomes and give your potential clients what they want. What can you do to give your bottom line a boost this holiday season? I’d love to hear what you’re up to below.

Be a Legend!

Once again, you deliver the goods, Brook! So grateful for you.

  2. I’ve done the pre-selling thing a couple of times now and I swear I get more sign ups that way than when I simply release something!
